I get that, completely, but two wrongs don’t make a right. I just don’t understand why the entire cishet polulation is being blamed for the actions of some jerks, and maybe that’s ignorant of me. Not everyone is an asshole or deserving of hatred.
I just feel like if you know what it’s like to be discriminated against or treated unfairly for ANY reason, you would try not to be that way to someone else. It just seems hypocritical.
Like, I get being mad or upset about someone being a prick to you and venting that frustration, but I never see posts like “Wow, some cishet people are just total assholes and should go die in a fire somewhere.” No, I see things like “don’t even talk to me if you’re cis” or the classic “die cis scum <3” in cute glittery text, as if it’s totally adorable to tell a bunch of people that they’re the worst thing to exist.
My main point is that I don’t see why everyone loves to spread hatred so much. I don’t see the point. I don’t understand why we can’t just accept eachother. Why target strangers that have done NOTHING to wrong you instead of targeting those who actually have?
I’ve been bullied for shitty reasons in the past. The way my teeth looked before I got braces, my sexuality, the fact that I was abnormally skinny and flat throughout middle school, or because I dressed differently. That made me feel like fucking shit growing up. The idea of doing the same thing to ANYONE, regardless of gender or sexuality, is just appaling to me. The effects are lasting and painful. Some people take that shit to heart, online of offline.
I genuinely don’t understand, and maybe that’s shitty of me, but I have explained my perspective. I’m sorry if I’ve offended anyone.
If anyone’s offended at the idea that you shouldn’t shit on people who haven’t done anything bad, then they need to rethink their life. Just because someone was or is an asshole to you doesn’t mean you get to be an asshole to someone who looks like them.
Or the ones who order a meal and when i ask what kind of drink they want they say “I dont want a drink” and when you explain it comes with one, they get unecessarily frustrated
My favorites are the ones that say they want a meal which comes with a drink and then they say they want water which is free or list off the items individually and insist they don’t want a meal
